I’m a wrap-up postdoc in the groups of Christoph Zechner and Dora Tang. I graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a BSc in Chemical Engineering and an MSc in Marine Science. Afterwards, I completed a MRes in Synthetic Biology in the CSSB lab at UCL. I finished my PhD in the Tang and Zechner groups at MPI-CBG.
I’m interested in how communication can affect gene expression noise and variability in cell populations. I use simplified synthetic cells made from cell-free expression systems encapsulated into liposomes and mathematical modelling to study gene expression dynamics and cell-cell communication in a bottom-up approach.
